Skype - What it is, and how it applies to you

Skype is a free VoIP, instant messaging and video conference software. It, effectively, allows the end user to communicate with the whole world for little, if not free. How-To: Setup dual monitors

Dual-monitors are all the rage these days. In this how-to I'd like to show you how to setup your dual-monitor configuration.

What you will need:

  • 2 PC monitors. Make sure at least 1 of them as a DVI input as you don't always get a DVI to VGA converter with it.
  • A graphics card with 2 outputs (Usually VGA and DVI). Most new graphics cards have this capability

VPNs for file sharing

To start, what is a VPN? VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. In terms of file sharing, it is essentially like a LAN (Local Area Network) formed between 2 or more PCs over the Internet - but in a private environment.
